Today I met with retired engineers John Edmunds and Peter Bolden to discuss the reinvigoration of the old Zig Zag Railway in Kalamunda.

There’s a massive economic opportunity to turn the old railway into a thriving tourist precinct, with benefits extending to local businesses.

The project is a win win really; Kalamunda’s historical roots are remembered while providing the economic boost the area needs. Plus, we can add creation of jobs to the east metro region as another benefit.

Labor needs to get on board – pun intended – with this fantastic opportunity.
